Welcome to my little corner of the internet.

I am a middle school teacher, a wife, and a proud Texan living in Oklahoma with my husband Trace and our two cats. You can find us in local coffee shops, trying to withstrain our competitive sides on board game nights, or cozying up with Indian food to re-watch the best sitcoms.

I fell in love with words when I was too little to understand their power. I started collecting them: quotes, cards, letters, postcards. I stored them all in a box and kept them close. Writing came a little later. When I was nine, my great grandma started sending me letters, and I’d send her the poems that I wrote with my minimal nine-year-old knowledge of poetry. She was the first person that made me feel like writing mattered, like my words mattered. I was hooked.

No matter where you are in life, I hope this is a space that encourages and lifts you up. I pray there are words that connect with you on the days when it feels like it will never rain, and the days that feel like the rain will never end. Heartbreak, love, waiting, learning, we’ve all been through it, and you are not alone.

So go pour yourself another cup of coffee or a mug of tea, I’m so glad you’re here.
